<Crystal-like Ocean in Fiji>
Fiji is an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean and Vanuatu, New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, and Tuvalu are its neighbor countries. Fiji comprises an archipelago of around 332 islands; two major islands; Viti Levu and Vanua Levu as 87% of the population inhabit in. The capital and largest city is Suva, located in Viti Levu Island. English, Fijian, Fijji hindi are official languages of the country and tropical marine is the general climate. The country has abundance of natural resources such as forest, mineral, and fish. Moreover it is one of the most developed economies in the Pacific island realm. Recently, the country has focused on tourism as its main economy.
On July 21, Fiji hosts National Day at Yeosu Expo! Fiji’s famous dance team, Kabu ni vanua consisting of college students has directed the celebration stage and inspired the audience. “Kabu ni vanua” means the Morning Dew of Mother Earth. This team has gained its reputation by making efforts to keep and spread Fiji’s indigenous culture against rapid urbanization and westernization. They attracted the visitors with various performances including harpoon dance and fan dance which has been performed to celebrate the ascension of a new chief of the tribe.
