[June 30] Let’s meet the world: East Timor

East Timor, officially the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, is a sovereign state in Southeast Asia. Located in Southeast Asia, this country is the largest and easternmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Its climate is tropical and generally hot and humid, having rainy and dry seasons. It is predominantly Roman Catholic countries in Asia. The capital is Dili, which is the largest city and main port of this nation. The country’s second largest city is Baucau located in the eastern part.
Today (June 30) is the last day of June and also the last of the first half of 2012! East Timor hosts National Day at Yeosu Expo on this meaningful day. To celebrate their National Day, Gil da Costa Alves who is Commissioner, Minister of Tourism, Commerce, and Industry addressed the opening speech and Fitun Salurik, a band from East Timor attracted the audience with Timor’s traditional dance and music.
