[JUNE 23] LET’S MEET THE WORLD: Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa and Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Ivory Coast are its neighbor countries. The country’s capital is Ouagadougou where is located in center of the country. The official language of its country is French. Burkina Faso has a primarily tropical climate. The country is an also member of the African Union. Burkinian generally devote working on agriculture  which is the biggest economy in its country.

Today, Burkina Faso hosts National Day at Yeosu Expo and the Pavilion has offered various events to celebrate its National Day. The main event was Burkina Faso’s traditional music that performed by Aaninka, Soul of Africa. Unfortunately, original team that was going to be performed at the Pavilion was not able to visit Korea due to its complication of visa. Therefore, the Côte d’Ivoire’s national performance team, Aaninka performed Burkina’s traditional music and dance in the Pavilion. The show contained soul of West Africans. Traditional dance and music, Mandingue and Paga were quiet enough for the visitor to be satisfied.  The event was held in International pavilion of A area.
