The Yeosu Project – Progress

- To ensure smooth implementation of the Yeosu Project, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was commissioned as the project operator.
- As part of the first-year project, 12 programs (7 R&D programs; 5 education and training programs) were launched in October 2010.
- Pilot projects for the second and third years (2 billion won each) will be launched in collaboration with international organizations.

- Preliminary preparations such as demand surveys on the selected support nations by international bodies are currently in progress with full-scale launch of projects slated for the second half of 2011.
