World Renowned Media Select ‘2012 Expo Yeosu Korea’ as the Best Travel Site in the World
Hello this is Yeony. Yeosu Expo opens in May this year, which is not far off. Yeosu is currently spending busy days to prepare for the Expo, and in the meanwhile, the world’s influential media have selected Yeosu Expo as a must-see travel site in 2012.
CNN selected Yeosu as the number one place among the top places to visit in 2012, and ‘Lonely Planet,’ which is a global travel guidebook, selected Yeosu Expo as one of the top 10 things to do in 2012. In addition, Euro News, which is a TV channel having the highest viewing rate inEurope, aired a special report on Yeosu Expo. Yeony is happy that the world is showing significant interest in Yeosu Expo.
When asked for the reason it selected Yeosu, CNNgo stated that approximately 100 nations are scheduled to participate in Yeosu Expo, an event held on the promising theme of “The Living Ocean and Coast,” and that the Expo will become one of the most stylish and sophisticated Expos due to the various attractions including the exhibition center on the ocean, multi-media show, and ocean experience park. CNNgo added that showing the ecology of the world’s five oceans will illustrate the fact that human prosperity has an inextricable relationship with the condition of the earth.
Other travel sites that were selected with Yeosu Expo were London, the summer Olympics host, Poland and Ukraine, the nations hosting Euro 2012, the Calgary Stampede Festival, a festival reaching its 100 year anniversary this year, the Pearl Harbor tourist center, which was remodeled, Myanmar, a country slowly opening its doors through the National League for Democracy, and the South Pole, a place attracting attention by launching a new travel package.
In addition, ‘Lonely Planet,’ a global travel guidebook selected going to Yeosu Expo as one of the top 10 things to do in 2012. Thus, it is attracting the attention of world travelers.
Furthermore, ‘Euro News,’ a news channel having the highest viewing rate inEurope, aired a special report on Yeosu Expo, stating that “Yeosu, a place with 360 islands and a repository of rare marine organisms, is an ideal place to think about the mutual relationship between the ocean and human beings.”
